The ultimate action and reflex game by SIMBA Toys is nominated for the ToyAward 2009 in the category Fun & Sport. 21 candidates were starting the run for this novelty prize awarded at the International Toy Fair in Nuremberg. From the multitude of submitted toys, 3 products each in seven categories qualified for the nomination: One of them is Squap, the revolutionary game by SIMBA Toys.

The new action and reflex game Squap by SIMBA Toys promises fun and action. “The Swiss invented it.” – the Swiss Quality Product was developed in cooperation with the University of Zurich. Whoever tries his hand at Squap, understands the onomatopoetic meaning of this term at once. Like he had an extra mouth, the player catches the ball: “Squap”!

Squap is an absolutely new chuck and catch game. It delights children from age 8 and up, as well as youngsters or adults. The players fasten the orange Squap to their hands with Velcros. The balls are the size of a ping-pong ball. Like having an extended arm you can throw or catch the ball by a skilful opening and closing of the plastic part which looks like a jaw. The technique is easy to learn and, with a bit of training and skill, you will change from beginner to master soon.

2 Squaps and 4 balls are included in the Squap playing set. The design of the revolutionary game isn’t only athletic but also handy. To store it you just put two balls in a safe place in the Squap and fix them by a bolt. So it is kept safe and sound till the next game.

You play Squap alone against a wall, twosome or in a group. You play at a Volleyball court, on the beach or in the garden or in any bigger room. You can squap at any time, anywhere. It is fun and good exercise.

So have you already squapped today?
