Smoby Toys wins the famous toy prize with the Black+Decker workbench in the category "The stuff of children's dreams" "Everything a child could want" "Everything a child dreams of". "The Golden Rocking Horse" was presented by the German magazine familie&co and the Deutsche Verband der Spielwarenindustrie (German Toy Industry Association) for the 14th time.

To judge the new arrivals to the toy market, the expert jury enlisted, in their own words, "the most critical experts: parents and children".

The large sturdy Smoby children's workbench looks like Daddy's big workbench. Carefully designed details, realistic material structures and a wealth of accessories make the toy the star of the playroom. A special addition is a learning app which explains the various tools and their functions through play. The new workbench will be available from toy stores from September 2015 for approximately Euro 59.95.

Felix Stork, Corporate Marketing Director of the Simba Dickie Group, is delighted not only that four toys from the international group were nominated, but that Smoby Toys was also declared the winner of the category. "Parents are experts when it comes to choosing toys for the youngest children. They know best what their children most enjoy playing with and what they themselves need to be aware of when buying toys. We are thrilled about the choice of Smoby Toys, our French specialists in pretend play toys. Our creative team develops their ideas with lots of attention to detail. This guarantees endless fun for children. The toys are made at our own factory in France to the highest quality standards."

Four toys from the Simba Dickie Group had previously been nominated for the sought after award, as well as a Märklin model train for youngsters. The BIG Rider and the Bubble Go from Smoby Toys were nominated for the "For the Youngest" category. There was a nomination for the Heros Constructor digger for the "For Artists and Builders" category and Märklin's premium starter package "My World" was nominated for the "Toys and Technology" category. The battery-operated remote control trains give children aged three and up an authentic playing experience.
