Three SIMBA DICKIE GROUP products nominated

Every year Germany’s biggest family magazine, Familie&Co., gives awards to the best new toys. This year, Familie&Co readers and readers of www.familie.de online chose their favorites from 50 nominations in five categories. A jury of parents and experts will then decide the overall winner who will be announced in December. By the way, it’s worth pointing out that the Golden Rocking Horse is the only toy award decided by the consumers themselves.

In the ‘Whole family’ category, Simba Toys is in the running with Squap, the revolutionary chuck-and-catch game that’s all the rage with kids and grown-ups alike. You catch the ball in a glove that’s similar to a wide-open mouth, squap! It’s sporty, it’s exciting, and it’s fun – guaranteed.

BIG’s BIG PONY CADDY has been nominated as toy of the year in the ‘For the tiny tots’ category. This robust horsebox trailer fits both classic BIG BOBBY CAR models and the latest BIG NEW BOBBY CARs and can carry loads of up to 30 kilos. And who could resist the adorable little pony who rides in the trailer, complete with saddle and bridle?

Smoby Toys has a nomination in the ‘For artists and builders’ category: the Flashlight Table. This innovative stand gives big scope to little artists (age 3 up). They can add a real shine to their pictures thanks to a special light effect – either constant or in flash mode.

Eichhorn Marbleblox – one of 2009’s TOP 10 toys

The German Toy Retailer Association has announced the products it has nominated for inclusion among the TOP 10 toys of 2009, and one of them is Eichhorn’s Marbleblox!

This annual toy hit list gives consumers an overview of the year’s most innovative and potentially best-selling new products. A jury of toy wholesalers and retailers will select the 2009 TOP 10 Toys from among the nominated products and the list will be published in September.
